Always take advantage of opportunities to learn. Any time you are with another leader you should learn from them. Here are some habits to make learning a way of life.
1. Prepare questions ahead of time
2. Put them in order in case you only have time for 1 or 2
3. Search out others to learn from (Network, take advantage of websites, forums, & blogs.)
4. Make phone appointments with those you want to learn from (Tell them what the subject or purpose is ahead of time as well as Email or fax questions ahead of time.)
5. Email a question to someone you want to learn from regularly
Be considerate by emailing questions one at a time and no more than 2 or 3 per month. If you have a relationship with them already use Multiple choice so they can see you are thinking. Reserve complex questions for live communication.
6. Take advantage of Q & A opportunities.
7. Take advantage of comment lines and use them to ask a question!
8. Take advantage of other’s questions. Learn to listen when others are asking questions.
