But numerical growth is not the only kind of growth that we should be seeking. We learn from Jesus' boyhood in Luke 2: 52 that Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men. In other words He grew in the knowledge of the word, He grew physically, He grew in His relationship with Father God, and He also grew in his relationships with others.
In our ministries we should be seeing and seeking growth in every one of these areas. We're to be like Jesus aren't we? So in the lives of the kids we minister to as well as in our own walk with the Lord we should be seeing these kinds of growth taking place. God wants us to grow! It's His plan for growth to take place. But then why do some ministries and churches not see the growth that other ministries and churches have experienced? I believe that a big factor in growth is us! That's right you and I are the key to growth taking place. God is no respecter of persons. All of the Lord's ministers are capable to see success and bear fruit. Each one of us as individuals must desire, Make room, and expect growth in every single aspect of our lives and ministries!

Re: Ready, Set, Grow-part 2

If we don't grow in these areas first:

Luke 2: 52 that Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men. In other words He grew in the knowledge of the word, He grew physically, He grew in His relationship with Father God, and He also grew in his relationships with others.

Then we won't be able to enjoy or continue in once we get that numerical growth.
