What I learned about resting- part 3

Two other things that I learned is that droping everything and resting while spending time with family means a ton to your family. At first I think Julie and Whitney didn't know if I was serious about doing nothing or if I would just do a lot of different stuff. I have said before that the good thing about a day off is you get to pick what you work on. I still agree with that but on a vacation it's important to unwind. The first two days where hard but the more I relaxed and did nothing the more excited and energized my family got also. You owe it no your family as well as yourself to take a break on a regular basis.

The other thing I learned is that no one really missed me. The people that matter the most (your family) was there with me. I didn't get one email or tweet asking why I was taking time off. I think I also learned that there's nothing wrong with not working all the time. You don't have to earn your keep always sometimes you can just have down time and that's Okay. Nome of these things might be earth shattering but to me it was huge. The end result I came back refreshed and ready to hit it again. I needed this more than anyone in fact I've schedule another one before the end of the year.
