It takes more than wanting to be effective to be effective. But the truth is you'll never be effective until you desire it more than cheesecake.

It’s not how much you know that brings success, but yet it's important to know all you can about the areas you want to be successful in.

It’s not how much experience you have that brings success although experience can be the best teacher it just doesn't have to be your own experiences that you learn from.

It’s not how large a budget or how many kids are in your program or how fast your church is growing
To me, It’s all about what you do with what you know, and what you have that counts.

Re: Thoughts on Being Effective

Mario Andretti has said: “Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”

Cheese cake produces "growth" of things I have to work hard to lose. Effectiveness produces "growth" of things I want to keep.
