Who offers the advice, criticism and correction and how they offer it will help you discern the validity of the message!
Messengers are sent by God but they are also sent by Satan here's who to listen to and who not to:
1. From the top, you always listen
2. A person of wisdom or Godly counsel- listen (A true friend always listen!)
3. Parents matter (especially workers)
A great question to ask is "Are they wanting to help or are they disgruntled?" Hear what they have to say, thank them and follow God
4. I don’t listen to strangers and the non-committed
5. Never listen to anyone who is bitter or offended. Proverbs 18:19 "An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city, and disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel."
6. Don’t listen to liars and hotheads
7. Don’t believe your own press kit- You not as wonderful as you think you are... Things are never as bad as you think either!"

Bro, Jim,

This post is why networking is so important - but beyond that we all have to move beyond casually knowing folks and be willing to step into genuine relationship with people!

The online community is great, but can't replace real communication!
